2018 IAML Congress in Leipzig, Germany

The annual congress of the International Association of Music Libraries, Music Archives and Music Documentation Centers (IAML) will take place in Leipzig from 22 to 27 July 2018.
Leipzig is a dynamic and multifaceted cultural city. With its rich history and lively present, it is a tourist attraction as well as an appealing place to live and work. Leipzig is one of the most important European musical metropolises, which has its own renowned music scene and at the same time attracts international musicians. Leipzig is an important educational and scientific site with a university, a large number of other institutions of high level education and lots of libraries of various types.
The main venue of the IAML Congress is the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig (HMT), which is the oldest music conservatoire in Germany. The HMT’s main building is located centrally in the so-called Musikviertel with other universities and cultural institutions close-by.
